We are looking for a responsible and qualified individual to fill a supervisory position with a medical clinic located in Little Rock, AR.
 
Position Overview:
 
The Clinical Lab Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of lab staff performing daily duties ensuring testing operates efficiently, effectively, and complies with all system and regulatory agency standards. They will assist in meeting the business, financial, customer, service quality, and regulatory requirements of the laboratory and serve as a resource for the department personnel.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Daily supervision of lab staff performing duties such as phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
  • Coaching, motivating, staffing, evaluating, and training staff.
  • Following established laboratory procedures.
  • Performing routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease,
  • Carrying out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality while promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
  • Supervising staff, assigning work, monitoring activities, and evaluating performance.
  • Resolving escalating issues, administering employment actions, providing coaching and guidance to staff, and promotes training and development.
  • Providing input to department policies and procedures.
  • Leading work activities of the lab department, planning and organizing work, providing for adequate staffing and resources, and maintaining work on schedule so that on-going customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Communicating with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of department diagnostic equipment and other technical resources.
  • Coordinating with internal personnel, vendors, and others as needed to resolve issues and maintain on-going functionality.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and other information summarizing work activities.
  • Preparing various analyses as needed to highlight issues and resolve questions.
  • Maintaining knowledge of changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities.
 
Requirements:
  • Participation in outside industry groups and forums related to business activities.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory program with an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • 6+ years of laboratory experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
