We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented physical therapist to fill a position at a pain treatment center located in Little Rock, AR.
Position Overview:
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for the evaluation, plan, and administration of comprehensive physical therapy modalities/regimens to patients in their place of residence to develop and restore function through rehabilitating physical therapy as prescribed by a physician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performing accurate and comprehensive physical therapy assessment.
  • Communicating status to other healthcare team members and office staff verbally and in writing in a timely manner.
  • Guaranteeing that physician orders are communicated to other healthcare team members and staff in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
  • Coordinating care planning and delivery with the physician, patient, and family/caregivers, other health care team members, and staff to facilitate optimal outcomes.
  • Educating patients, their family/caregivers, and other staff as appropriate, in appropriate physical therapy modalities.
  • Delivering physical therapy modalities appropriate to the patient’s clinical status and needs, and in accordance with the standard of care for patient’s age.
  • Assessing the patient for the need for durable medical equipment as well as other adaptive equipment needs.
  • Synthesizing data form the physical examination and analyze data to make clinical judgments regarding patient management.
  • Utilizing appropriate pain management modalities that include but are not limited to; physical therapy modalities.
  • Educating the patient and/or caregivers in effective pain management modalities.
  • Providing physical therapy modalities in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
  • Supporting and maintaining a culture of safety and quality.
  • Identifying risk of injuries or threats to life and health in the patient’s environment (environment/safety/mobility risks) and implementing appropriate interventions to reduce those risks.
  • Appropriate assessing and re-assessing a patient’s pain.
  • Current and valid AR Physical Therapist (PT) license.
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy curriculum/school.
  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
  • Prior pain management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable automobile.
  • Proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Current health certificate/physical examination and TB testing.
  • Current BCLS certification and CPR card.
  • Criminal background check required.
