• Effectively interacts with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare workers in a Neurosurgery specialty environment
• Participate in the insurance authorization process, track visits, schedule patient appointments, & coordinate care
• Demonstrate a high level of flexibility to meet patient needs
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Provide educational consultations to interested patients
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills
• Assist surgeon in procedures within your scope, including sterile prep
• Review medical history, current medications, current symptoms, and take vitals
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant grad preferred, patient care experience a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy regarding all details
• CPR/AED certified
