Premier Arkansas law firm seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join their team part-time. The successful candidate will compile, manage, and complete attorney billing along with a variety of other accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Compile and bill attorney hours to clients monthly.
- Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and staff requests.
- Apply retainer funds as directed by attorney.
- Process write-offs following Firm policy.
- Complete complex bills in a timely manner (i.e., multiple discounts by matter, split-party billing, preparation of electronic bills).
- Complete a high volume of bills per month.
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required.
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems.
- Create new billing formats as needed.
- Create billing schedules and various other billing analyses.
- Create and prints final client billing.
- Create and distributes monthly reports.
- Utilize accounting and payables software programs to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure strict confidentiality at all times.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize workflow.
- Ability to show strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, staff and clients.
$20 - $25 per hour DOE
Approximately 20 hours per week
