Legal Assistant – Pre-Litigation
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant (minimum 1–2 years) to provide essential support to our pre-litigation department. This role focuses on assisting with pre-suit matters, including probate-related tasks, document drafting, court filings, contract coordination, and ongoing client relations throughout the pre-litigation process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. While prior experience in personal injury law is a plus, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-litigation matters, including probate-related cases
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and probate pleadings
- Prepare and file court documents in compliance with local and state probate regulations
- Manage and maintain organized case files and documentation
- Assist with sending and tracking contracts and legal correspondence
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and expert consultants
- Support the pre-suit manager, who leads the intake and pre-litigation process
- Assist with cases in jurisdictions outside of Arkansas, with training provided on state-specific procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks efficiently
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a pre-litigation team
We are willing to train on jurisdiction-specific procedures for candidates who demonstrate strong foundational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
