Litigation Legal Assistant

Full-Time | In Office | Monday–Friday

Are you an organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant who enjoys keeping cases moving and attorneys on track? Our client is looking for a dependable professional to join their litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative office where your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities will make a real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other case-related materials.
  • File documents electronically with state and federal courts.
  • Maintain and organize electronic case files to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, including hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and critical deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
  • Assist with case management from opening through resolution.
  • Process attorney time entries and assist with billing and administrative support.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and provide additional office support as needed.
  • Work closely with attorneys to ensure deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support role.
  • Experience working in a law firm.
  • Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures and civil litigation is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal case management software and electronic filing systems.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional client service.
