Director of Accounting

Join a well-established, family-owned medical supply company where your work will have a meaningful impact. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated accounting professional who is a self-starter, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, purchasing, payroll, tax, and financial reporting
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial metrics and projections to the CFO
• Support budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and special projects
• Oversee biweekly payroll, payroll taxes, reconciliations, and year-end reporting
• Assist with system implementations and company-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA strongly preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibility
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, payroll, taxation, and internal controls
• Self-starter who takes initiative and full ownership of the accounting function
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach

           Full-time, in-office position, Monday - Friday
           Generous PTO Plan
           Excellent Benefits including Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance
           $70,000 - $75,000 DOE
