Project Assistant - Bidding Department

This position would be an assistant to the current bidding team and experience in bidding contract work is a plus. All programs/ skills associated with our bidding process can be taught but any experience in the following programs/ skills would be helpful:
 
  •  Detail oriented.
  • Complex Project Management skills
    • Set timelines for every step of the project (RFQ, Market basket, Final response)
    • Must be able to take an incoming bid, split out the tasks to areas of responsibility/subject matter experts, and continually update a timeline spreadsheet.  Keep the projects moving!
  • STRONG Microsoft office skills.
    • Access
    • Excel
    • Word
  • STRONG written and verbal skills.
    • Will work very closely with product marketing to keep project flowing quickly.
    • Must be able to clearly communicate with suppliers and internal associates in professional manner.
    • Maintain good records of responses. (I.e. quotes from suppliers).  Organize them.
    • Gatekeeper of the worksheet with costs. 
    • Work with assigned Corporate Acct Manager and VP Corporate Accts to review responses, fill in gaps as needed.
  • Product and Supplier knowledge
    • A clear understanding of the products we carry as we sometimes have short turnarounds.

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
