Patient Access Supervisor

Supervise the front desk personnel and patient portal representative. Oversight of the patient access functions of multiple clinics  Little Rock, El Dorado, and Benton. Requiring light travel.
1. Supervise front desk personnel for Little Rock, El Dorado, and Benton locations.
2. Receive Employee Call-in's and work schedules to make sure clinics run effectively.
3. Continue streamlining the front desk workflow.
4. Provide continuing education to staff regarding insurance, check in/out processes, ABN’s, authorizations, and referral processes.
5. Works with the Business Office Manager to create training and development plans for staff. Identifies staff in need of retraining and ensures they receive it. Supports staff professional development and makes recommendations for continuing education.
6. Monitor time of service collection reports and Works with Patient Financial Coordinator.
7. Manages to achieve established standards for productivity, quality/accuracy, and patient satisfaction/customer service.
8. Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient access policies and procedures.
9. Supervisor works with team to meet operational goals, being fair to all staff. Prepares weekly payroll by reviewing timecards/PTO. With Manager support, has the direct responsibility to undertake the following actions: hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews.
10. Manages Patient Portal.
11. Oversees all Chart prep for the Little Rock, Benton, and El Dorado clinics.
12. Monitors and resolves No Shows within the Athena dashboard.
13. Manage and oversee front desk bump lists and task box for Little Rock, Benton, and El Dorado clinics.
14. Manage the pre-check in application.
15. Utilize EMR reports for registration productivity.
16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
17. Perform all duties in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
•           2+ years of experience working in the medical/healthcare front office, business office and demonstrated knowledge of managing patient accounts and collection issues.
•           Leadership ability to assess, motivate & inspire others to help business achieve success. accounts receivable or billing operations preferred.
•           Experience in accounts receivable, insurance and billing operations preferred
•           Knowledge and familiarization with Medicare, Medicaid and other Commercial Insurance billing regulations.
•           Strong skills and ability to plan workload, allocate tasks to align with business priorities.
•           Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
•           Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
•           Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to convey priorities as well as ability to solicit feedback and inputs.
•           Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others and work effectively.
