Creative Director

Primary Role Objective:
The Creative Director oversees all creative output, including managing agencies, freelancers, and in-house designers, developing corporate and product identity systems, ensuring brand guidelines, and utilizing creative marketing strategies to further the company's mission.
  • Deliver a brand platform that supports the brand’s business and strategies
  • Own accountability for delivering creative assets on time, on brand, and on budget
  • Partner with internal team and external agencies to brief teams on the brand aesthetic and voice and provide constructive feedback throughout their creative processes
  • Own campaign development and set concept direction for all campaigns, spanning across traditional and digital, and across all facilities
  • Actively provide creative feedback and direction to the creative team across all functional areas of art direction, design and editorial to ensure consistent brand standards
  • Provide clear direction and a strategic vision for how to leverage campaigns appropriately by medium – Email, OOH, Direct Mail, Print, In-Facility collateral, video, digital media, organic social media, paid social media, website, etc.
  • Be the creative team advocate within the marketing leadership team in building our marketing strategy, quarterly goals, budget planning, marketing process creation, etc. to ensure the alignment, consistency and successful implementation of all marketing programs.
  • Manage in-facility assets and resources, such as part time videographers and photographers, and local content library
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 7+ years' experience in design and art direction showing increasing responsibilities, including 2+ years' experience managing creative functions, projects, and teams.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies and evaluate applicability to innovative marketing strategies.
  • Ability to use analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Communication and presentation skills, including the ability to pitch and 'translate' design and marketing concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, UX concepts and terminology, HTML/CSS coding and troubleshooting, and digital concepting software such as Adobe XD or Sketch.
  • Knowledge of software capabilities and other tools under purview, including: Office 365 Suite, marketing automation systems (preferably HubSpot), CRM/CMS systems, Google analytics and AdWords, DAM software, Dropbox, GoDaddy, social media platforms, WordPress, etc.
  • Experience working on a PC/Windows-based platform.
  • Fluent in digital and mobile creative strategies and execution.
