- Monitors client care activities through review of progress notes, client care monitors, personal observations, shift reports, checklists, etc.

- Ensures implementation of corrective action as indicated by QA monitors

- Assists in the development and/or revision of and interprets, supports and implements nursing/program policies and procedures, standards and protocols
|
- Ensures compliance with universal precautions, infection control and safety policy and procedures
|
- Assists in ensuring JCAHO and State licensing standards are maintained
|
- Ensures that applicable staff complete annual mandatory in-services and receive annual physical and TB skin test when due
|
- Coordinates with HRD in staff recruitment and retention strategies
|
- Provides input into development of master treatment plan regarding each resident’s group living goals, objectives and interventions for each problem area and attends weekly treatment team meetings to review progress/problems
|
- Ensures integration of nursing interventions are integrated on the care/treatment plan
|
- Contributes to the implementation and execution of behavior management policies and procedures, e.g., points, rewards, level system, etc.

- Ensures preservation of residents’ rights with respect to group living
