Nurse Manager- Behavioral Health

Education and/or Experience:
  • Successful completion of accredited School of Nursing
  • RN licensure in Arkansas
  • 3 years clinical nursing experience
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license with driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
  1. Monitors client care activities through review of progress notes, client care monitors, personal observations, shift reports, checklists, etc.
  1. Ensures implementation of corrective action as indicated by QA monitors
  1. Assists in the development and/or revision of and interprets, supports and implements nursing/program policies and procedures, standards and protocols
  1. Ensures compliance with universal precautions, infection control and safety policy and procedures
  1. Assists in ensuring JCAHO and State licensing standards are maintained
  1. Ensures that applicable staff complete annual mandatory in-services and receive annual physical and TB skin test when due
  1. Coordinates with HRD in staff recruitment and retention strategies
  1. Provides input into development of master treatment plan regarding each resident’s group living goals, objectives and interventions for each problem area and attends weekly treatment team meetings to review progress/problems
  1. Ensures integration of nursing interventions are integrated on  the care/treatment plan
  1. Contributes to the implementation and execution of behavior management policies and procedures, e.g., points, rewards, level system, etc.
  1. Ensures preservation of residents’ rights with respect to group living
  1. Takes call
