Commercial Insurance Representative
Little Rock, AR
The Commercial Insurance Rep verifies patients’ commercial insurance coverage, contacts patients and clinics as needed and follows up on claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional approach in performing all assigned tasks
- Enter commercial insurance orders
- Verify patients’ insurance coverage
- Ensure all needed information is included on order
- Obtain pre-authorization and/or referrals as required by patient’s insurance
- Contact patients and clinics to give or obtain needed information
- Assume other duties within scope of training as assigned by the Coordination of Services Supervisor or Executive Management
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years experience with medical insurance
- Solid computer skills with the ability to learn new programs
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to produce work in a timely manner
- Ability to work without close supervision
