Corporate Legal Assistant

Corporate NWA law firm seeking a Legal Assistant with at least two years of legal or executive assistant experience to provide high-level legal and administrative support to multiple Partners and Associates of the Firm.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence such as stock purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, stock certificates, SEC documents, bylaws, articles of incorporation and minutes. 
  • Proficient proofreading, redlining, and editing of documents prepared by assigned attorneys.
  • Create and maintain attorney client matter lists. Docket crucial litigation deadlines; coordinate with attorney’s calendar.
  • File correspondence and legal documents in office filing system and document management system as required.
  • Process billing, time entry, and expense reimbursements via internal accounting systems.
  • Process time sensitive state and federal court filings with sense of urgency; knowledge of electronic filing requirements and software required.
  • Compose and type routine correspondence.
  • Review, route and prioritize incoming mail.
  • Coordinate travel on airline, hotel, and rental car for out-of-town travel.
  • Maintain and organize documents in document management system.
  • Oversight of attorneys’ billing procedures (including time entry, editing and invoicing).
  • Schedule with and utilization of video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Teams.
  • Establish and manage new client files.
  • Maintain attorneys’ calendars.
 Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, iManage or similar.
  • Ability to edit and proofread documents.
  • Quick and accurate typing
  • Ability to learn new and/or updated technology with ease.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 5:00
Some overtime may be necessary
