A. Prepares Nutritious Food For Residents/Clients/Staff/Catered Events
1.    Weighs and measures ingredients for quantity cooking
2.    Mixes ingredients according to prescribed amounts and techniques
3.    Prepares meats, vegetables and other food for cooking according to individual requirements and restrictions
4.    Selects seasonings for better taste
5.    Uses procedures in accordance with roasting, baking, broiling, steaming and frying techniques
6.    Operates equipment needed in food preparation such as mixer, oven, stove, steamer
7.    Serves on tray line as assigned
8.    Can assist in transport of prepared food to other program sites
9.    Responsible for overall menu preparation in a timely manner.
10.    Works on developing new recipes for use on menus.

B.  Maintains And Cleans Work Area 
1.    Properly stores and labels food and cleaning supplies
2.    Replaces items used in daily operations
3.    Prepares dishes/trays for dishwasher
4.    Cleans pots and pans
5.    Washes and cleans equipment and utensils
6.    Reports items low in stock
7.    Completes cleaning tasks as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 
High School education or equivalent.
Six years quantity cooking experience
