Temporary Legal Assistant

Fayetteville, AR
National law firm seeking a Temporary Legal Assistant to provide assistance to multiple attorneys Monday - Friday 8-5 for approximately 14-18 weeks. Potential for a more permanent role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Type documents, firm standard letters, correspondence, and memorandum to firm format standards; using internal programs for document revision, clean-up, and comparison
  • Proofread documents for revisions
  • Utilize the firm’s document management system and email integration management system for individual capacity and supported attorneys
  • Generate, organize, copy, scan and maintain electronic and physical client files
  • Accurately enter attorney time and expenses into the firm’s timekeeping software; manage accounting deadlines of same
  • Assist with the management of attorney calendars and appointments
  • Accurately make attorney travel arrangements when needed
  • Handle confidential documents and information with discretion
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask
  • Ability to handle the workload for multiple attorneys
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of PC and Windows applications and proficient in Microsoft Office products
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Experience as administrative assistant or secretary in law firm or legal department preferred but not required
