Job Summary
The Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, support and improvement of the company's control system. This includes being a liaison with outside integrators and contractors to ensure the business needs are met on time and within budget and will provide innovation and support for continuous improvement projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Input/Output checkout for new projects and process improvement
• Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
• Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory
• Provide programming and electrical support on projects
• Implement control systems software upgrade
• Work on Continuous Improvement projects and troubleshoot system failures when they occur

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• 2 year Technology Certificate, Automation or Electrical Electronic Technology degree or equivalent work experience.

• 2 years experience in developing and/or changing electrical schematics.
