Summary:

With minimum supervision performs EEGs, Tilt table stress, and related exams within the department. Assist physicians with preliminary reports and during interpretation. Assist in other areas of the department, when available, in a friendly and helpful manner.

Responsibilities:

• Performs electrocardiograms for in-patient and outpatient populations including all ages.
• Performs Holter monitor hookup and the scanning of Holter monitor tapes.
• Performs cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological and Tilt table stress.
• Schedules all patients for any and all procedures performed in the department that require an appointment.
• Maintains all diagnostic equipment by assuring that they are properly functioning and cleaned after every patient.
• Notifies physician daily for exam interpretation and files reports.
• Checks weekly for needed supplies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of the Medical Assistant Program or one year of career-oriented college credits (24 credit hours) is preferred.
• 2 years experience in a clinical setting is required.
• 1 year experience with EKG/Stress testing preferred.
• BLS required.
